Job summary

Astronics AES in Redmond, WA seeks an Assembler and Rework Specialist to perform precise rework, repairs and modifications for production and NPI hardware. You will handle wire splicing, soldering, testing and troubleshooting with attention to tolerances and safety.

This role may involve training team members, working from schematics and collaborating with engineering to support development projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4–6 years of direct experience in assembly/rework functions.
• Ability to read drawings/schematics and work with tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced assembly tasks including wire splicing, crimping, leaded and lead-free soldering.
• Execute rework, repairs and modifications to support NPI hardware.
• Train others and guide less experienced team members.
• Set up equipment and adjust processes to technical specs.
• Interact with engineering and manufacturing teams as needed.
• Work from schematics, blueprints, and oral instructions on developmental assemblies.
