Job summary

J&T Business Consulting in Seymour, CT is seeking a 2nd Shift AOI Operator for electronics manufacturing (PCBA/SMT). The role focuses on operating AOI systems to inspect PCBAs for defects, support high yield, and ensure smooth production flow.

You will set up AOI, load programs, log defects in the MIS (Aegis), and collaborate with SMT operators and quality teams. IPC-A-610 certification is required or obtainable after hire; entry-level SMT experience is welcome.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years of electronics assembly/SMT/optical inspection experience (entry level ok).
• IPC-A-610 Certification required or achievable upon hire.
• Component identification training required (passive components, ICs, polarity, reference designators).

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor AOI systems per SOPs and production schedules.
• Load inspection programs for specific part numbers and revisions.
• Identify, classify, and log defects in the MIS / Aegis.
• Maintain ESD safety, 5S and collaborate with SMT operators and quality teams.
