Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking a Quality Inspector to verify in-process electronics assemblies against IPC standards. You will perform visual verification, document discrepancies, and provide real-time feedback to operators on the production line.

Responsibilities include maintaining IPC certifications, conducting spot inspections, and ensuring BOM and customer specs compliance. Experience with soldering, microscopy, and AOI tools is required; strong teamwork and communication are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 3-5 years’ experience performing hand soldering.
• Meticulous hand-eye coordination for complex PCBs.
• Clear, real-time feedback to colleagues.
• IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 certifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect in-process material for BOM and IPC conformance.
• Perform spot-inspection, sampling and first-piece verification.
• Document non-conformities and escalate issues.
• Operate Koh Young AOI equipment and solder under a microscope.
• Maintain accurate documentation and IPC compliance records.
• Participate in line audits and ensure tooling meets requirements.
• Promote ESD, PPE and FOD prevention.
• Collaborate with team in a fast-paced environment.
