Carlson Tool & Manufacturing Corp. in Cedarburg, WI is seeking a 2nd Shift 5-Axis Machinist. You will set up, program, and operate high-precision 5‑axis centers to produce engine components, mold tooling, and complex parts for automotive, medical, and other industries.

You will read part prints, select tools, and measure with micrometers/calipers to ensure tolerances. Expect a collaborative, clean, climate-controlled environment with growth and annual bonuses, plus a signing bonus for qualified

Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating 5 Axis Machining Centers — required.
• Strong programming skills — required.
• Ability to read and interpret part prints and technical drawings.
• Proficient in calculating dimensions and tolerances using micrometers and calipers.
• Capable of machining precision parts from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate 5-Axis Machining Centers.
• Review part specifications and requirements.
• Setup work piece, create machining center sequence and tool selection.
• Produce parts within required tolerances and specifications.
• Inspect and validate your own work using precision measuring equipment.
• Complete short-run jobs with frequent changeovers and tool adjustments.
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
