Job summary

Auto-Valve, Inc. is seeking a 2nd Operation Machinist to join our Operations team in Dayton, Ohio. This hands-on role focuses on secondary processing and finishing of CNC-machined and stamped components.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, with manufacturing experience, and committed to high-quality, precise parts. You will work on a range of equipment, read blueprints, and ensure accuracy and safety on the shop floor.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
1–3 years of shop/manufacturing experience preferred or equivalent.
Basic blueprint-reading skills.
Familiarity with measuring and inspection instruments.
Ability to use common hand tools and manufacturing equipment.
Basic math skills (whole numbers, fractions, decimals).
Good communication and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate drilling presses, punching presses, hydraulic/pedestal grinders, pneumatic tools, and other equipment.
Deburr, grind, polish, clean, assemble, and finish machined/stamped components.
Perform machine setups and verify work against blueprints/specifications.
Apply part identification using etching, vibro peening, stamping, or ink methods.
Use precision measuring tools to verify parts meet requirements.
Read product drawings and basic blueprints.
Follow all customer specs and manufacturing requirements.
Complete production and quality documentation; maintain a clean, safe workstation.
