Job summary

Luvata Ohio, Inc. in Delaware, Ohio, is seeking a Machine Operator on 2nd or 3rd shift to support our formed products department. You will run and set up various machines, inspect quality, and help maintain tooling and data records.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Skilled in the operations of power equipment.
• Must be able to read, write, and compute math calculations.
• Must be able to use gauge equipment (micrometers, ruler, etc.).
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
• Able to lift 80 lbs., push/pull 200 lbs., bending, standing, walking, climbing, twisting, and have good vision.
• Must have at least two (2) years experience in Formed Products Department as a Machine Operator or equivalent experience.
• Must have good work record.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of assigned machines in the Department.
• Set-ups and tooling adjustments as required on assigned machines.
• Diagnose and document problems for evaluation by set-up and engineering personnel.
• Use gauging equipment such as micrometers and rulers.
• Read and follow manufacturing routings and record data for Data Collection.
• Ensure quality of produced parts through inspection and measurement.
• Maintain tooling and machine in good condition; keep work area clean.
• Support safety and report issues to supervisor.
• Follow written procedures and manage tools assigned to area.
• Train and direct less skilled personnel in the department.
