Job summary

Dayton Superior is seeking a machinist/operator to maintain and run conventional, CNC and specialty equipment in a on-site manufacturing setting. You will handle grinders, drills and presses while meeting production targets and keeping the work area safe and organized.

The role requires 0-2 years of related experience, HS diploma or GED preferred, and the ability to read safety procedures and use safety features. This is an on-site position within a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
• Ability to read and understand all safety operating procedures and to use all safety features and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operates assigned machines, including resistance welding, brake presses, and mechanical power presses. Operates saws, drills, and grinders. Consistently meets production requirements.
• Maintains clean and safe work area.
• Packs finished materials into dunnage and loads/unloads.
• Checks that the finished workpiece conforms to the specifications.
• Completes documentation correctly for process monitors and production tickets.
• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions and may fix issues during the shift.
