Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking educators for IDEA Academy who will deliver rigorous instruction aligned with state standards. You’ll plan and assess to ensure students master academic and social skills vital for college success, while upholding IDEA values.

Qualifications

• Strong content-area knowledge and ability to pass IDEA content assessment.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting strongly preferred.
• Reading Academies certification or ability to obtain TX training per TEA requirements; bilingual certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement state standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track student progress and adjust plans to meet needs.
• Communicate progress with students and families weekly.
• Maintain a consistent behavior management system and foster school culture.
• Engage in tutoring sessions after school or on Saturdays as needed.
