Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a K-3 Early Education teacher to deliver rigorous instruction aligned with IDEA curricula and state standards. You will assess student mastery, track progress, and adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs while collaborating with families and the school community.

You will implement strong classroom management, plan weekly lessons, and participate in ongoing professional development to support student success and college readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required)
• K-12 classroom experience strongly preferred
• Reading Academies certification or willingness to obtain TX training within required timelines; bilingual certification preferred (not required)

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback
• Implement formal and informal assessments to track progress and adjust lesson plans
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly
• Establish and maintain a clear behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives
• Help shape a school-wide culture fostering productive, enthusiastic learning environments
