Job summary

Promontory Club in Park City, UT is seeking two 2nd Assistant Superintendents to help lead the maintenance and operations of the Jack Nicklaus Painted Valley Signature and the Pete Dye Canyons golf courses. • We aim to develop and provide valuable experience in irrigation and fertilizer/chemical application, and crew management to serve as a solid foundation for someone who desires to become a Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and log water usage in pump houses.
• Maintain, adjust, and repair the Toro irrigation system – additional labor helps provide for larger scale repairs or projects.
• Calibrate sprayers and fertilizer spreaders, perform applications, and maintain accurate detailed records and inventory through GreenKeeper software.
• Conduct weekend job assignments and meetings using TaskTracker.
• Train crew members on all maintenance equipment and golf course practices.
• Lead team to complete in‑house improvement projects.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as course set up, hand watering, moisture management, and data collection.
• Winter work consists of snow removal (snowplows, tractors, snow blowers, and hand‑shoveling).
