Job summary

The Sonnenalp Club in Edwards, CO is seeking a motivated 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to maintain and improve the golf course condition for our members and guests. This hands-on role collaborates with the Superintendent, 1st Assistant, and maintenance crew to uphold high standards throughout the season.

Responsibilities include assisting in maintenance planning, supervising staff, operating irrigation, applying fertilizers and pesticides, and documenting maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of turfgrass management practices and irrigation systems.
• Experience with golf course maintenance and high-end layouts.
• Familiarity with pesticide and fertilizer schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of golf course maintenance and task scheduling.
• Supervise maintenance team and ensure safe operations.
• Participate in mowing, fertilizing, watering, and other routine tasks.
• Assist with irrigation operation, water use monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain records of maintenance and chemical applications.
• Support course improvements, renovations, and aeration projects.
