Job summary

The Step2 Company is seeking a 2nd and 3rd shift Maintenance Technician in Perrysville, OH. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly range ($26.03–$33.04) with a $1.00 shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

The role focuses on electrical and mechanical maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing machinery, maintaining hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and operating tools.

Qualifications

• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues on machinery and equipment.
• Repair mechanical equipment as needed.
• Install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers, motors, and control wiring.
• Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic piping.
• Repair and calibrate automated machinery including PLCs.
• Operate machine tools to fabricate parts; basic cutting/welding skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
• Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Install and repair electrical components and wiring.
• Operate and set up machine tools for fabrication and repair.
• Support maintenance supervisor with scheduled tasks.

Salary Range: $26.03 To $33.04 Hourly

Our starting pay is $26.03 - $33.04/Hr. (based on experience) plus $1.00 shift premium (2nd Shift) and (3rd Shift)

Afternoon Shift, 2:00 pm -10:00 pm Monday - Friday

The Maintenance Technician is a key role reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. The environment is fast-paced, with scheduled duties as well as routine maintenance.

An emphasis on Industrial Electricity is a plus for consideration for these positions.

Other requirements include:

• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
• Able to diagnose mechanical issues on machinery and equipment.
• Able to mechanically repair equipment.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other areas of machinery.
• Install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers, motors, and control wiring for electronic devices.
• Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems for hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs automated machinery and equipment such as programmable controllers.
• Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drill presses, and milling machines to repair or fabricate parts, jigs, and fixtures.
• Cutting and welding skills are a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
