Job summary

The Step2 Company is seeking an entry level Machine Operator to operate molding equipment in our Ohio facility. You will work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule (3 days/4 days) with a base rate of $21.00 per hour, plus a $1.00 night shift differential for the night option.

Responsibilities include machine start-up, operation, basic troubleshooting, and ensuring correct cube weight and color powder usage. Competitive benefits and weekly pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience operating plastic molding machines is a plus.
• Ability to follow setup and changeover procedures.
• Basic math and attention to detail for color powder and cube weights.

Responsibilities

• Operate molding machine to form plastic parts.
• Start up, run, and shut down the machine per procedures.
• Make adjustments and entries on the adjustment sheet.
• Fill cube with correct color powder and verify weight.
• Move finished parts to the assembly line chute.
• Operate and remove chains on the machine as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area around the machine.
• Train helpers on adjustments and mold setups.

Job Role: (ROTO) Machine Operator _ Entry Level ($21/hr)

A Machine Operator operates the molding machine to form plastic parts by performing the following duties:

• Machine start-up, operating and shut-down procedures
• Basic machine troubleshooting as needed
• Responsible for adjustment sheet entries for their machine
• Fill appropriate cube with correct color powder
• Ensure correct weight of cube to be poured into mold
• Pull finished parts and place on chute to go to Assembly
• Places and removes chains on machine
• Cleans work area, machines and equipment
• Trains helpers on making proper adjustments and mold set-ups
• Maintains housekeeping on platform and entire machine area
• Must regularly lift 10 lbs., frequently lift up to 25 lbs., occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed
