Job summary

Venteon in the Hillsdale, Michigan area is seeking 2nd and 3rd shift Tool & Die Makers. These are full-time, permanent, direct-hire positions offering off shift premium, bonus potential, good benefits, paid holidays and paid vacation.

The role requires analyzing tooling problems, repairing stamping dies, operating machine tools, and developing new tooling components per drawings. Strong problem solving, communication and time management are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3–5 years of die tooling experience.
• Tool and Die Apprenticeship Certification or Journeyman's Card preferred.
• Forklift and crane operator licenses preferred.
• Strong communication, problem solving, organization, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize.
• Knowledge of ISO-9001 / IATF-16949 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze tooling problems and improvement opportunities.
• Troubleshoot stamping dies and repair stamping dies.
• Operate machine tools and disassemble/assemble dies, fixtures and gauges.
• Develop and produce new build tooling components per detail drawings.
• Utilize measuring equipment, work instructions, and control plans to complete tasks.
• Assist in quoting and design activities as required.
• Run tryout presses and production presses safely and effectively.
• Record data in eMaintenance system and report product damage / non-conformities.
