Job summary

Venteon is seeking a 2nd Shift Tool & Die Maker in Jackson, Michigan. Working hours are 3 PM to 11:30 PM, with a 5-day week and limited weekend overtime; volunteer overtime available.

Includes a $1,000 sign-on bonus, benefits from day one, paid holidays and paid vacation, plus a $1.50 off-shift premium. The role involves reading blueprints, setting up/operating tools, finishing parts, testing tools, and collaborating with a team to meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Journeyman’s Card or 5 years related experience in Tool & Die.
• Formal training at a recognized trade school, college or equipment maker.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints to determine project specifications, set up and operate machine tools, finish and adjust parts, and test tools to ensure quality.
• Utilize mechanical and mathematical skills to craft tools and dies.
• Strong teamwork mindset to grow and hone skills within the company.
• Troubleshoot stamping dies, die cast molds, and related tooling for production support.

2ND SHIFT TOOL & DIE MAKER'S NEEDED - JACKSON, MICHIGAN A Leading Automotive Supplier near Jackson, Michigan needs 2nd Shift Tool & Die Maker's. The 2nd Shift Working Hours are 3 P.M. to 11:30 P.M. Offering a 5 Day Work Week with Limited Weekend Overtime and Volunteer Overtime is Available. A $1,000.00 Sign On Bonus is Available. These are Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Positions with Competitive Hourly Compensation, $1.50 Off Shift Premium, Benefits 1st Day of Employment, Paid Holidays & Paid Vacation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• As a Tool & Die Maker you will get to use blueprints to determine project specifications, set up and operate machine tools, finish and adjust parts, and test tools to ensure quality standards are met.
• You will also get to make use of your outstanding mechanical and mathematical skills while crafting tools and dies.

• Troubleshooting of all Stamping Dies, Die Cast Molds, Injection Rubber / Nylon Molds Repair & Maintenance of all Stamping Dies, Die Cast Molds, Injection Rubber / Nylon Molds and Tooling to support Production needs Assist with Quality Circle activities within the Die Maintenance Teams Assist Production when required

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience in all areas of Die MaintenanceExcellent Visual Accuracy & should be able to Read BlueprintsFormal Training at a recognized Trade School, College or Equipment MakerBasic Mathematical Skills, with the ability to Add, Subtract, Divide and MultiplyA Journeyman s Card or 5 years documented related experience in the Tool & Die Trade Excellent Technical Skills, with the ability to Problem-Solve & Troubleshoot Mechanical Problems
