Job summary

Ideal Tridon Group in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Tool Maker for the 2nd shift. You will use specialized tools to repair, design, and maintain tooling and dies, read blueprints, and perform preventative maintenance. Overtime and weekends may be required.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, strong English, and the ability to follow instructions with careful attention to safety and quality. Journeyman card and hi-lo certification are preferred; drug screening and background checks will

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, speak and write English clearly.
• Drug screen and background check required.
• Journeyman card preferred; hi-lo certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and safety protocols.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Set up machines (drills, lathes, grinders, milling) and measure parts.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on tools and dies.
• Inspect finished dies/tools for defects and ensure quality.
