Zusammenfassung

Venteon is seeking a 3rd shift Die Setter in the Lansing, Michigan area for a full-time, direct-hire position with competitive compensation and bonus potential. You will work with tooling and production to prepare dies, set on bolster, and ensure quality and safety procedures are followed.

Responsibilities include die maintenance, SAP data entry, and adherence to production schedules. Prior experience with dies, cranes/hoists, and SAP is a plus; strong teamwork and safety compliance are required.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience setting dies preferred.
• Experience running cranes and hoists preferred.
• Computer proficiency (Word); SAP experience a plus.
• Demonstrates urgency when schedules change.
• Respectful, positive attitude and team oriented.
• Strong communication (written, verbal, listening).
• Strong organizational skills with follow-up.
• Record work in SAP.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Able to work different hours/shifts as needed.
• Learn to work on precision handling equipment for press lines.
• Clean dies inside and outside press lines.
• Operate cranes, hoists, die cart, and related assets.
• Knowledge to set dies on all tooling assets.

Aufgaben

• Communicate with tooling and production to prepare dies and set on bolster.
• Clean dies in press and after production run.
• Transport dies to tooling location and open dies.
• Repair grippers.
• Enter all daily time in SAP.
• Document all work in SAP.
• Ensure proper checks on completed work orders.
• Finish work orders on time.
• Escalate issues to lead or supervisor.
• Participate in department cost-improvement efforts.
• Be ready at shift start and receive pass-downs from prior shift.
• Own downtime related to tooling you worked on.
• Work with team leader to understand priorities.
• Adapt to schedule changes and plant needs.
• Follow standard work procedures.
• Complete die setter checklist.
• Attend daily workload meetings.
• Assist leads and supervisors with cross-training and improvements.
• Attend learning opportunities for technical knowledge.
• Ensure safety devices are properly in place; follow Lockout/Tagout; wear PPE; report near-misses or injuries.
