Job summary

Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW) is seeking a manual assembly operator for the StampTech Fasteners Division in Gallatin, TN. The role involves assembling, adjusting dies, operating presses, inspecting parts, and following safety and QA procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, forklift experience, basic computer skills, and strong teamwork and communication abilities. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of industrial experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to use hand-held devices.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, installs, and aligns dies in press according to specifications.
• Adjusts ram stroke to specified height.
• Positions work piece against fixtures or stops on machine bed or on die.
• Starts press and observes operation for misalignment or malfunction.
• Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjusts machine to correct errors.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times.
• Label, scan, and move product per specifications.
• Cross-train with department coworkers to increase knowledge and efficiency.
