Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW) is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the StampTech Fasteners Division in the North American automotive market.

The role involves supporting heat treat furnaces, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring production meets technical specifications and quality standards. Work is conducted in an environment with extreme heat, moving mechanical parts, and the need for precise documentation.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of industrial experience.
• Experience with operating a forklift.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to work in hot environments for long periods.
• Great organizational and time management abilities.
• Effectively communicate in a professional demeanor when dealing with the public or any level of employees.
• Ability to work overtime.

Responsabilidades

• Cover both sides of Heat Treat when needed for breaks and/or lunches.
• Maneuver barrels with metal product manually or using barrel dollies and barrel dumpsters.
• Weighing totes and creating and scanning labels.
• Keep barrels and totes free of parts, foreign material and oil.
• Start machine, engage feed, keep probes clean to maintain an even product load.
• Maintain machine controls and guides to remain in compliance.
• Obtain samples and complete testing such as hardness and titration as specified.
• Replace or repair worn machine accessories and assist HT maintenance when needed.
• Maintain process documentation consistently.
• Operate overhead crane.
• Daily 5S duties and LPA completion.
• Adjusts flow of chemicals to machine reservoir and start flow.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Study blueprints and machine parts to determine material needs.
• Measure and mark dimensions on metal stock.
• Replace defective parts and test heat treat lines.
• Maintain inventory for heat treat maintenance parts.
