Job summary

Wabash is seeking a metal fabricator to perform semi-skilled duties and operate a variety of manufacturing equipment. You will read blueprints, follow engineering drawings, and maintain safety standards on a fast-paced production line.

This role requires independence, strong math and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. A commitment to quality and ISO standards is essential.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• Basic reading/writing and verbal skills.
• General computer skills (Excel and Word).
• Strong math skills.
• Ability to read and use tape measure, calipers, and gauging equipment.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Able to exercise independent judgment when performing responsibilities.
• Perform work at a quality level that meets or exceeds the Wabash and ISO standards.
• Ensure at least a Winning Together mentality to eliminate shift differences.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of semi-skilled manual duties requiring knowledge of techniques, tools, equipment and safety precautions.
• Operate lasers, turrets, presses, shears, and other equipment as assigned including setup and PM maintenance.
• Understand blueprints and work from engineering drawings.
• Report defects and the need for repairs to production and maintenance leadership.
• Wear all required PPE and adhere to safety policies.
• Flex work schedule to meet production needs; maintain safety first on the floor.
