Job summary

Cardinal Glass in Ocala, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 2nd and 3rd shifts to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade automated manufacturing equipment across the facility.

You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and electrical systems, read schematics, and support equipment upgrades and engineering projects. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and working from lifts up to 30 feet.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in automated industrial systems.
• 3+ years preferred in industrial maintenance.
• Electrical troubleshooting on 480V three-phase systems.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, automation controls, and robotics.
• Lift 50 pounds and work from vertical lifts up to 30 feet.
• Basic Windows and file management skills.
• Work independently with limited supervision.
• Must work weekends and overtime as needed.
• Exposure to noise, heat, dust, fumes, machinery, and moving equipment.
• Possible outdoor weather exposure and chemicals.
• Effective verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade mechanical, electrical, electronic, and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Perform emergency, corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and automated systems.
• Maintain conveyors, cranes, and material handling equipment.
• Perform electrical maintenance on 480V three-phase and related systems.
• Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.
• Support equipment upgrades and engineering projects.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area per OSHA standards.
