Job summary

Rand Precision Machining is seeking a motivated 2nd & 3rd Shift CNC Machinist to operate, set up, and program CNC lathes and milling machines to produce precision components.

You will read blueprints, GD&T and use calipers/micrometers to ensure parts meet specifications, with CAM software and Fanuc controls enabling efficient production.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC mills and lathes in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in G-code and M-code; CAM software knowledge preferred.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
• Ability to use precision tools and follow lean practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes and milling machines with precision using Fanuc controls.
• Program CNC machines with CAM software to optimize processes.
• Read blueprints and GD&T to ensure parts meet specs.
• Set up tooling, fixtures, and workpieces with calipers and micrometers.
• Perform routine maintenance, tool changes, and troubleshoot issues.
• Apply EDM techniques when required for complex materials.
• Follow lean manufacturing to improve efficiency and safety.
• Assist with assembly when needed and document production data.
