Job summary
The Colorado Department of Education's Office of Gifted Education seeks a Twice Exceptional Gifted Education Consultant to serve as a statewide expert in gifted education and twice-exceptionality. This role leads professional learning, resources, and statewide improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with state statutes and regulations.
Collaborate with districts, educators, families, and partners to strengthen equitable identification and programming for gifted and twice-exceptional
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Education or a related field or other focus related to the job assignment.
- Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in gifted and/or special education.
- Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead statewide gifted and twice-exceptional initiatives and projects.
- Provide technical assistance and professional learning for educators and districts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve equitable identification and programming.
