Job summary

The Colorado Department of Education's Office of Gifted Education seeks a Twice Exceptional Gifted Education Consultant to act as a statewide subject-matter expert in gifted education and twice-exceptionality (2e).

The role leads professional learning, technical assistance, resources, and statewide improvement initiatives; supports implementation of Colorado gifted education statutes and rules; and collaborates with districts, educators, families, and community partners to strengthen equitable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in gifted and/or special education.
• Knowledge of statewide gifted education statutes and rules is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as statewide subject-matter expert on twice-exceptionality (2e) and gifted education statutes.
• Lead professional learning, technical assistance, and statewide improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with districts, educators, families, and community partners to strengthen identification and programming.
