Job summary

The Ultrasound Technologist at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center performs two dimensional ultrasonic recordings to support physician diagnosis and organ assessment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• 1+ years related experience and/or training, breast ultrasound experience preferred.
• Registered or registry eligible through ARDMS or ARRT; ARDMS/ARRT within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Select equipment for ultrasound setup according to examination specifications.
• Explain process to patient and assist in positioning for examination.
• Select transducer and adjust controls for organ and depth.
• Enter data into ultrasound computer to maintain patient test records.
• Move transducer over body area and monitor ultrasonic patterns.
