Job summary

Washington Regional Medical System is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasounds across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and procedural areas. You will collaborate with radiologists and care teams to support timely, safe, and patient-centered imaging services.

Responsibilities include reviewing orders, preparing patients, and ensuring accurate documentation. ARDMS certification and BLS/CPR are required, with 1 year of prior ultrasound experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program or equivalent ultrasound training and clinical experience required.
• ARDMS certification required or must be obtained within the timeframe established by department policy.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• One year of ultrasound experience in an acute care hospital, emergency, or outpatient imaging setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with provider orders and department protocols.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain exams, and ensure privacy, comfort and safety.
• Operate and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
