I. Position Summary

Position Overview:

The Sales Associate is responsible for assisting in the execution of all operational and merchandising functions within the store during their assigned shift. They are also responsible for providing excellent customer service to every guest.

II. Major Responsibilities and/or Essential Functions*
  1. Driving Sales
  • Drive sales to achieve and exceed personal and store goals.
  • Ensure all funds and merchandise are handled according to company policy and procedure.
  • Assist with scheduling at least 1 grassroots event per quarter.
  • Manage merchandise effectively.
  • Assist with driving marketing initiatives.
  • Customer Experience
    • Provide an exceptional customer service experience to all customers.
    • Serve as a product knowledge expert to educate customers.
    • Model the company's values successfully.
    • Serve as a role model to all associates for delivering exceptional customer service.
    • Drive PLCC to enhance brand loyalty.
  • Operations
    • Assist in merchandising, display maintenance, and visual updates to enhance the brand.
    • Help replenish floor stock.
    • Maintain store neatness, cleanliness, and proper maintenance.
    • Communicate important issues with the Store Manager and Full-Time Assistant Manager.
    • Adhere to the highest standards in store operations as per policies and procedures.
    III. Knowledge, Skills, & Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to apply retail math principles.
    • Proficient computer skills and experience with POS systems.
    • High initiative and accountability.
    • Flexibility and adaptability to business needs.
    • Attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines.

    This position requires the ability to:

    • Lift 30 lbs, and frequently push, pull, bend, and stretch.
    • Stand for 8–10 hours daily.
    • Use ladders or other equipment for store and merchandising maintenance.
    • Work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, and late evenings.
    • Minimal travel may be required, e.g., district meetings, banking duties.
    • Interact daily across all divisions and levels.
