Department Overview

The Department offers two degree programs, one option and two minor programs.

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Industrial Technology
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Agricultural Systems Management
  • Master of Science (MS) in Industrial Technology
Position Summary

We are interested in candidates who are qualified to teach an IT course in various areas within the department.

  • IT 74 Manufacturing Processes
  • IT 114 Industrial Materials
  • IT 103 Nut Processing
  • or other classes identified as needed to fulfill educational goals of current students
Instructor Responsibilities

Temporary faculty members are responsible for preparing, delivering, conducting, proctoring, and grading lectures, office hours, assignments, quizzes, projects, and exams.

All classes must be offered and meet as scheduled throughout the semester, in the mode assigned (asynchronous, synchronous, in‑person, or hybrid).

Compensation

Salary ranges are $5,507–$6,677 per month for a Master’s degree when teaching full time (15 WTUs). Starting salaries are usually at or near the minimum of the range. Monthly salary is adjusted based on the number of WTUs assigned per term.

Anticipated Semester

The temporary faculty pool is continuously open and positions are filled as needed.

  • Fall 2026: August 19, 2026 – December 22, 2026
  • Spring 2027: January 15, 2027 – May 26, 2027
Required Qualifications
  • Education: A Master’s degree in Industrial Technology or a related field with a manufacturing/production emphasis, OR a Bachelor’s degree plus at least ten years of industry experience in the United States.
  • Experience: Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds; expertise in a closely related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level, evidenced by prior experience and evaluations.
  • Successful undergraduate teaching experience.
  • Experience with computers, machinery, and manufacturing processes.
