Job summary

Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) seeks a professional Water Systems Supervisor to oversee the 24-hour operation of the Operations Control Center, monitoring and controlling the regional water system.

The role requires three years of lead or supervisory experience in water systems operation, a WA WDM1 certification and a two-year college pathway in Waterworks or Water Management, plus SCADA experience. Five days on-site with comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of lead or supervisory experience in water systems operation.
• Two years of college toward an Associate degree in Waterworks or Water Management.
• WA State WDM1 certification and valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the 24-hour operation of the Operations Control Center.
• Provide technical support and coordination for CIP projects.
• Supervise subordinate staff.
• Plan and coordinate water system configuration changes for routine operations and maintenance.
• Respond to emergencies as needed.
