Job summary

Seattle Public Utilities is seeking two Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Communications Technicians to support Water and Wastewater SCADA infra. The role spans field and bench work, with 24/7 on-call support to repair SCADA components and ensure data flows to the operations center.

Requirements include an Associate Degree in electrical engineering or electronics technology and a minimum of three years’ experience with electronic communications equipment and SCADA systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical engineering, electronics tech, or related field.
• Three years of experience installing, maintaining, repairing and testing electronic communications equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support SPU SCADA integration across Water, Wastewater and Solid Waste lines.
• Install, calibrate, and maintain field instrumentation and control equipment.
• Assist in building and operating SCADA telecommunications systems and PLCs.
• Create wiring diagrams, schematics, prints, and as-builts.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support to repair SCADA components.
