Job summary

Trimark Associates, Inc. operates a portfolio of utility-scale solar PV and BESS, monitoring and controlling assets via SCADA systems. The OCC Operator handles dispatch, SOC management, and fault diagnosis to maximize availability and grid compliance.

The role requires 2+ years in power system operations, an electrical/technical degree, and proficiency with SCADA/HMI. A 12-hour rotating shift with nights/weekends is expected in a 24/7/365 schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in electrical/technical field.
• 2+ years in power system operations for utility-scale solar, wind, or BESS.
• Proficiency with SCADA and HMI; familiarity with high-voltage equipment.
• Knowledge of regional ISO/RTO market rules and LOTO safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control PV and BESS facilities, including inverters and sensors.
• Execute dispatch instructions (curtailment, MW, power factor) per protocols.
• Manage Battery SOC and respond to grid signals for regulation.
• Analyze SCADA alarms, diagnose faults, and perform remote resets.
• Coordinate with field technicians for maintenance and safety (LOTO).
• Ensure compliance with NERC reliability standards (CIP, COM, PER, PRC, TOP).
• Maintain detailed daily operation logs in the Control Center database.
