Job summary

Optum is seeking a SOC Operator to safeguard people, assets, and operations by monitoring intrusion alarms, AI video analytics alerts, access control events, and live surveillance feeds within a 24/7 SOC. You will validate alerts, triage incidents, dispatch on‑site resources, and coordinate responses per SOPs while maintaining documentation, audits, and HIPAA/PHI compliance.

Fluency in English and Spanish.
Proficiency with intrusion alarm systems, VMS/CCTV, and AI‑driven video analytics platforms.
Proven triage, critical thinking, and decision‑making skills under time pressure.
Proven clear, professional verbal/written communication; excellent incident documentation discipline.

Responsibilities

Monitor intrusion alarms, AI video analytics alerts, access control events, and live VMS feeds in a 24/7 SOC environment.
Create accurate incident reports, alarm tickets, and shift logs aligned to SOP/SLAs; maintain chain‑of‑custody and ensure records retention.
Operate effectively in a 24/7 Security Operations Center, including nights, weekends, and holidays; adhere to schedules and overtime when needed.
Maintain confidentiality and follow security policies; collaborate with Corporate Security, Facilities, IT, and Executive Protection.
