Job summary

Celanese Corporation in Moncks Corner, SC seeks a shift supervisor to lead a 24/7 team of Process Experts (PEs) ensuring safe, in-spec production aligned with the schedule. You will coach PEs, manage performance, and coordinate turnover and training to sustain high standards across Stewardship, Quality, Reliability, and Engagement.

The role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and hands-on involvement in safety, risk mitigation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the assigned 24/7 shift operating team in setting priorities and mitigating risks.
• Facilitate shift SQRE meetings with full engagement and actionable outputs.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned shift tasks and proper handover.
• Escalate emerging issues to site leadership in a timely manner.
• Coordinate training and sign-offs for shift PEs and trainees.
• Support PE hiring as an interviewer and tour guide.
• Participate in shift balancing discussions and team meetings.
• Develop PEs through feedback and coaching.
• Perform overtime and vacation administration.
• Maintain turnover documentation and ensure PE qualifications on shift.
• Communicate direction from Core resources to PEs during planning meetings.
