Job summary

Los Angeles LGBT Center is seeking a Security Supervisor to lead the facilities security team across multiple agency locations in Los Angeles. This full-time role reports to the Safety and Security Manager and oversees 24-hour operations and staff scheduling.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of direct security supervisory experience, strong leadership and excellent communication skills, and a commitment to serving LGBTQ communities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' direct security supervisory experience
• Minimum 5 years' security experience
• Proficiency with MS Office and the ability to learn new internal systems
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Access to reliable transportation, a valid CA Driver License, and the ability to be insured
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds

Responsibilities

• Oversee 24-hour security operations across agency locations
• Supervise security staff and manage scheduling and performance
• Coordinate with LAPD and BID security agencies and ensure compliance with regulations
• Maintain security incident reporting and OSHA/workers' comp documentation
• Participate in staff meetings and support agency goals and initiatives
• Recruit, mentor, and coach security staff and manage union relations
