Job summary

Los Angeles Convention Center is seeking a Security Supervisor (FT) to lead security operations across events in downtown LA. The role reports to the Security Senior Manager and oversees shift coverage, policy enforcement, and incident response.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in security, a CA Guard Card, and strong communication; responsibilities include training staff, managing rosters, and coordinating with Guest Services during large crowds.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years security-related experience; Legends Global/AEG background may count.
• Valid CA State Guard Card.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of crowd management principles and behavior.
• Ability to train and direct new hires in the department.
• Able to create, explain, and maintain an employee roster/schedule.
• Variable work schedule including late hours, early mornings, weekends.
• Reliable transportation; represent Legends Global and LACC well.

Responsibilities

• Respond to security needs and calls for service; coordinate with team and law enforcement.
• Train, counsel, discipline, evaluate and supervise security personnel.
• Manage hours for all security staff, including 24-hour and event teams.
• Enforce LACC policies and follow up on violations and complaints.
• Work with Guest Services to manage large crowds during events.
• Operate CCTV, Fire Control, radios, elevators and lighting controls.
• Develop and maintain ID/credential program for employees and visitors.
• Assist VP to update policies and Emergency Evacuation Plan.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
