Job summary

Olgoonik Corporation seeks a Console Operator to monitor the FDA Command Center’s security systems, respond to alarms, and coordinate with guards and authorities. You’ll work varying shifts including nights and weekends, and must be able to communicate clearly and document incidents.

The role requires 1–2 years of physical security experience, CPT training, and proficiency with MS Office. U.S. citizenship and security clearances are prerequisites for this contract position.

Qualifications

• Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite of products including Word, Excel, Access and E-mail.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a shift log documenting activities, alarm responses, dispatches, and incidents.
• Answers service calls and walk-in inquiries, directing callers to proper authorities as needed.
• Notifies FDA staff of discrepancies and after-hours situations per procedures.
• Operates and monitors security systems to respond to alarms, failures, and unusual activity.
• Uses radio/telephone to respond to calls for service and inquiries in routine and emergency situations.
• Monitors CCTV and directs security personnel to investigate suspicious activity.
• Provides written incident reports and participates in security investigations as directed.
• Follows all site security regulations and presents a neat, contractor-identifiable appearance.
