Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) is seeking a Renewable Operations Center Operator in Tempe to monitor and control a diverse portfolio of renewable facilities from a 24/7 control center. You will respond to alarms and coordinate real-time actions to safeguard personnel safety and equipment reliability.

This role requires an associate degree in a related tech field or equivalent experience, plus hands-on use of SCADA, Maximo, and plant systems.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate degree in a technology area related to power (e.g., electric power, electronics, mechanics or hydraulics).
• Plus two years of solar or generation plant maintenance, construction or operations experience.
• In lieu of degree, 4 years of combined college coursework and/or experience in solar/generation plant maintenance or operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate multiple power plant control systems across the fleet in a 24/7 environment.
• Identify and respond to alarm conditions to protect safety and reliability.
• Coordinate with field technicians and engineers to develop solutions and create work orders in Maximo.
