Job summary

Town of Gilbert is seeking a Police Teleserve Officer to provide 24/7 customer service to citizens by phone and in person, assist with police reports, and relay information about prisoners held at the Gilbert/Chandler Unified Holding Facility.

The role involves processing vacation watches, patrol watches, and related requests, completing paperwork for prisoner releases, and performing duties in a 24/7 environment which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of customer service or data entry experience.
• Experience writing police reports preferred.
• Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Must be able to perform rotating shift work in a 24/7 unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person and phone-based customer service at the Police Department lobby.
• Obtain information and write police reports for specific crimes.
• Input data for vacation watch and patrol watch requests.
• Provide information to the public about prisoners held at the holding facility.
• Draft supplemental police reports for laboratory results and notarize documents.
• Create calls-for-service using CAD system and handle related duties.
