Job summary

Genpak is seeking a Production Manager to oversee 24/7 manufacturing operations, focusing on safety, cost, efficiency, timeliness and quality. The role requires strong organization, follow-up and communication, and a collaborative leadership style.

You will supervise Packaging, Operating and Material Handling teams, onboard and train staff to GMP/SQF standards, and develop employees for advancement while driving continuous improvement and data-driven results.

Qualifications

• Managerial or supervisory experience is required.
• Experience in plastics manufacturing is preferred.
• Knowledge of extrusion and thermoforming processes.
• Familiarity with GMP, SQF, SPC and safety policies.
• Proficiency with MS Office and data reporting.
• Strong safety and quality mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production teams including Packaging, Operating and Material Handling.
• Coordinate onboarding and training to ensure GMP/SQF compliance.
• Create an open, collaborative work environment and foster idea exchange.
• Develop employees for advancement within the organization.
• Participate in performance management with HR and plant management.
• Review and report production data: results, downtime, scrap, staffing.
• Use work order systems to coordinate maintenance impacting production.
• Inspect machines/equipment to maintain performance and utilization.
• Develop or revise standard operating practices and observes.
• Compile, store and retrieve production data.
