Job summary

Shell Monaca Plant is seeking a Production Operator to safely operate plant equipment around the clock. You will monitor, control, and adjust processes while adhering to safety and environmental policies.

Expect to participate in shift handovers, perform data recording, and help maintain product quality. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of experience, a valid driver’s license, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience
• Must possess a current, valid driver’s license in the United States
• English reading, writing, and speaking proficiency required
• Must be willing to undergo Shell pre-employment testing and background checks
• Must support a drug-free workplace policy including screenings
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs with or without accommodation and use safe lifting techniques
• Commitment to safety, inclusion, and incident-free environment
• Willing to work with respiratory protection and SCBA equipment
• Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather and in confined spaces
• Able to climb ladders and work at heights
• Respond to emergencies as part of the Emergency Response Team
• Must reside within 60 minutes of the site or relocate within 60 minutes
• Willing to rotate 12-hour shifts, including nights, overtime, weekends
• On-call for site responsibilities and emergencies

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plant equipment 24/7 to ensure safe, reliable production
• Control and start/stop processes, document operating data and trends
• Adhere to safety, environmental, and operating policies and procedures
• Execute daily operating orders and routine maintenance preparations
• Effectively hand over shift information to the relieving crew and technicians
