Job summary

LAMP is seeking a hands-on Plant Operator to manage field equipment, execute procedures, and maintain safe, continuous operation around the clock. You will perform rounds, monitor conditions, and respond to issues before alarms trigger.

The role covers media preparation, sterilization, sample collection, logs, and support for maintenance. Requires 2+ years in process operations or an associate degree, ability to work in PPE, and a rotating 12-hour shift including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of industrial process operations or a process technology associate degree.
• Ability to work at height, in confined spaces and in PPE including respirator.
• Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating shift including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Pass background check, drug screen, physical and respirator fit test.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine rounds, monitor equipment condition and report abnormalities.
• Operate valves, pumps, filters, centrifuges, dryers and packaging equipment per written procedures.
• Execute media preparation, sterilization, inoculation, transfer and clean in place operations.
• Take process samples per the sampling plan and perform basic field tests.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance, including isolation, draining, purging and permit support.
• Handle chemicals, solvents and raw materials safely, including unloading and transfer operations.
• Complete logs, checklists and batch records accurately and on time.
• Participate in emergency response as a member of the site response team.
