Job summary

Adelphia Gateway is seeking a Pipeline Operator to monitor and control the movement of natural gas through multiple segments of pipeline on a 24-hour basis from a centralized location.

You will monitor system pressures, schedule, and implement facility operations, ensuring safe and efficient delivery while complying with CRM and PHMSA requirements. A strong emphasis on teamwork and problem-solving is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with related pipeline experience or 4+ years military experience.
• Associate degree plus 2-4 years control board experience preferred.
• Control center experience in natural gas or liquids pipeline is required; knowledge of pipeline operations preferred.
• Familiarity with AVEVA Enterprise SCADA systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Controls pumps and compressors remotely and adjusts to meet current and anticipated demands.
• Executes the daily operating plan to meet receipts and deliveries per DOT and tariff standards.
• Documents all relevant operational information daily during shifts.
• Monitors flows, pressures and alarms and responds to SCADA system alarms.
• Dispatches field personnel and coordinates with schedulers to maintain operations.
