Job summary

City of Grand Rapids, MI seeks a supervising operations coordinator for Mobile GR’s 24/7 parking and mobility operations. You will oversee booth attendants, traffic staff, event aides, enforcement officers, custodial and security, dispatchers, customer service reps, and maintenance personnel during shifts.

Position requires an Associate’s degree plus two years in customer service/operations with supervisory experience; valid Michigan driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field.
• Two years in customer service, operations, or facilities management with supervisory experience.
• Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the work of assigned personnel during a shift; participates in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Operates and minor repairs on parking access control equipment and related cash revenue systems.
• Responds to customer inquiries, service requests, and complaints to ensure positive customer experience.
• Oversees cash handling, bank deposits, and shift reports for accuracy.
• Monitors facilities operations, safety, functionality, and cleanliness.
• Maintains inventory of supplies, equipment, and spare parts; records kept as required.
• Directs traffic flow and assists with events on city streets.
• Reviews and updates policies, SOPs to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Audits revenue streams and maintains daily financial records.
