Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC seeks a Mobile Crisis Responder to deliver acute face-to-face crisis support for individuals experiencing MH/SA/IDD crises in the Wilmington area.

You will travel to where the individual is located across community settings, provide recovery-focused interventions, and link clients to follow-up care, aiming to reduce risk and avoid hospitalization. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week role with on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year’s crisis management experience in assertive outreach or 24/7 emergency response.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for face-to-face crisis response.
• Education and experience the position requires, with appropriate licensure or certification.
• Pre-employment checks including background, OIG, and credential verification as needed.
• Proof of employment history or references if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute face-to-face crisis support to individuals in MH/SA/IDD crisis.
• Respond to crisis where the individual is located: home, school, work, or community.
• Deliver strength-based interventions to promote recovery and coping skills.
• Reduce immediate risk and link to appropriate follow-up care.
• Provide timely crisis response within the catchment area.
• Facilitate relationships and act as a liaison with guardians, agencies, and community.
• Support skills development in daily living, social, and behavior management.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call system and coordinate resources as needed.
• Perform Case Management tasks to link services and referrals.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure procedures and follow-ups.
• Ensure timely initial authorizations for services and renewals.
• Monitor service utilization for effectiveness and compliance.
• Provide additional referrals and recommendations as needed.
