Job summary

New England Center and Home for Veterans is seeking a Program Manager for Low Threshold Programs to oversee 24/7 operations and supervise a supportive team. The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, harm reduction and client-centered services for Veterans experiencing homelessness with complex needs.

The position reports to the Director, Low Threshold Programs and requires collaboration with VA grant liaisons and NECHV staff to ensure timely referrals and seamless service delivery.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling.
• 1–3 years of supervisory and management experience.
• 2–3 years’ experience with substance use and mental health disorders.
• Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation.

Responsibilities

• Hire, onboard, train and supervise Low Threshold team members and coordinate 24/7 program coverage.
• Provide trauma-informed, harm-reduction and person-centered care.
• Intervene in clinical emergencies and crisis situations.
• Refer Veterans to programs and ensure appropriate referrals.
• Supervise and coach support staff on service delivery and documentation.
• Maintain referral lists and ensure timely data entry and reporting.
• Provide direct clinical case management to approximately 5 Veterans.
• Collaborate with VA and NECHV to maximize resources.
