Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking an IT Systems Event Manager/Monitor Technician to join the USCENTCOM JCCC team at MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL.

This role provides 24x7x365 monitoring and management of USCENTCOM networks and services, coordinating incident responses and reporting to stakeholders. You will work with multiple tools to monitor health, manage outages, and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• 8570 IAT-2 (Security+) certification preferred or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree plus 2+ years IT systems support experience, or High School plus 5+ years of IT systems support experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify outages and escalate to appropriate teams; coordinate restoration of services.
• Monitor networks using SolarWinds, Splunk, SCOM, NAGIOS and Dynatrace.
• Submit and manage incident tickets in ServiceNow.
• Prepare and deliver reports and briefings using MS Office, MAVEN, SharePoint.
• Lead restoration activities across enterprise and across disciplines.
• Collaborate with SMEs to improve monitoring posture and response procedures.
• Monitor server changes and effects on network performance.
• Execute changes via Forward Schedule of Change procedures.
