Job summary

Northern-Technologies-Group is seeking a Network Administrator (JNY) to support SOCCENT network operations at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL. The role covers monitoring, securing, and maintaining LAN/WAN infrastructure and related services in accordance with government policies.

You will triage incidents, perform upgrades, document configurations, and coordinate with vendors and engineering teams. Active TS/SCI clearance and CCNA are required.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
• DoW 8140 compliant for Work Role Code 441 at Intermediate level or higher.
• DoD 8570 IAT II certification.
• CCNA certification.
• Minimum six years of relevant network experience (or more with higher degree).
• Excellent written and spoken communication.
• Strong customer-service orientation and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Monitor LAN/WAN equipment and links with enterprise tools.
• Triage, troubleshoot, and escalate network incidents.
• Serve as technical specialist for network issues affecting existing networks.
• Support upgrades, security, and monitoring via IDS, firewalls, VPNs.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering on design analysis and config validation.
• Maintain CMDB, drawings, inventories, configurations, and topology docs.
• Document hardware failures, repairs, and ticket resolutions.
• Administer LAN/WAN services per government policies.
• Coordinate network software/hardware upgrades.
• Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, antivirus, spam, and security issues.
• Create monitoring reports and verify link functionality.
• Interface with vendors when issues arise.
• Support IAM, SIEM, EDR, IPS, and zero-trust tools (AppGate, Okta, Splunk, etc).
