UPS is hiring a Buildings and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Mechanic to maintain a package handling facility. The role involves fast-paced electrical and mechanical maintenance across AC/DC systems, motors, drives, and conveyors, with readiness for 1st-3rd shifts in a 24x7 operation.

Qualifications

• Must have strong electrical background and be able to pass an electrical assessment.
• Experience with AC/DC electrical equipment, motors, drives, and controls is preferred.
• Willingness to work 1st/2nd/3rd shift in a 24x7 facility.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, adjust, and replace AC/DC electrical equipment (batteries, relays, VFDs, encoders).
• Inspect and service mechanical components (motors, conveyors, belts).
• Inspect and service pneumatic equipment (diverters, hoses) and hydraulic equipment (hoses, cylinders).
• Weld, repair, and maintain conveyors and related structures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment such as conveyors and carts.
