Job summary

Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC, seeks a Transfer Coordination Specialist (TCS) for the 24/7 Emergency Transport team. You will coordinate ground and air transports, relay time-sensitive clinical data, and ensure seamless patient referrals.

Required EMT-B certification and at least 1 year of EMT-B field experience, along with strong communication and medical terminology skills, to support rapid, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• EMT-B certification (state or NREMT) is required.
• 1 year EMT-B field experience is preferred.
• Experience with health information technology and/or CAD systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ground and air transport logistics for medical emergencies.
• Receive, document, and communicate time-sensitive clinical data.
• Act as liaison between pre-hospital personnel and hospital resources.
• Monitor and operate multiple radio, telephone, and recording systems.
