Job summary

Children's National Hospital is seeking a Transfer Coordination Specialist (TCS) to support the 24/7 Emergency Transport team in Washington, DC. The role involves handling patient referrals, data communication, and coordinating ambulance and helicopter transport with CNMC resources.

The position requires an EMT-B (or higher) and a High School Diploma or GED, with preferred experience in healthcare, EMS, or call centers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of EMT-B program required.
• Experience in customer service, call center, or hospital transfer center is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level customer service to internal and external clients during patient referrals.
• Receive, document, and communicate time-sensitive clinical data from multiple sources.
• Coordinate ground and air transport logistics for medical emergencies.
• Monitor regional emergency communications systems and use multiple computer systems for tracking and documentation.
• Act as liaison between pre-hospital personnel and CNMC resources.
